Jairams Educational Trust was formed in 2005 under the Chairmanship of Er. R. Ramasamy, a well known philanthropist, a visionary and a multi-faceted personality of the region.Jairam college of Education is another feather added to Jairam's Educational Trust, Karur. It was started by 20 October, 2007. The reputed college is situated near Salem Bye-pass Road. It is very near to Karur bus stand. It is the only college situated in the center of the karur town.

The college is Co-Educational and approved strength of college is 100. Jairam College of Education meet the government of aided and self finance secondary school and Higher Secondary School in Tamil Nadu and other state. In rural and urban area empharrizing the training of graduates in Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, History, Economics, Commerce and Computer Science.
The Trust provides excellent infrastructure for offering teacher education of high standard. It includes instructional facilities and administrative amenities. Experienced and highly qualified teams of staff are appointed. The faculty member of the college take active part in experimenting new teaching techniques and teaching aids.
